Occurrence Remarks:
planted at Sacaton, joint 3 inches broad, fruit 1-1/4 inch long, reddish juicy (RHP), spines brown, at least at base, turning ashy-gray in age, glochids reddish-brown, abundant and conspicuous, fruit short and thick, withered flowers appear to be yellow (RHP, 1936)
