Growing in woods with Liriodendron tulipifera, Acer rubrum, Quercus rubra, Betula alleghaniensis, Juglans nigra, Juglans cinerea, Hydrangea arborescens, Lindera benzoin, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Arabis canadensis. 3 foot tall annual herb with yellow flowers with orange spots within.
