Locality: United States, Arizona, Pima County, Rincon Mountains, Posta Quemado Canyon, 20 kilmeters southeast of the edge of Tucson, 2.5 kilomters west-south-west of Papago Spring.

Habitat: Riparian scrub along ephermeral steambed.
Associated Species: Acacia greggii, Ambrosia confertiflora, Baccharis sarothroides, Berberis trifoliata, Celtis reticulata, Dicliptera resupinata, Epilobium canum, Fraxinus velutina, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Hymenoclea monogyra, Isocoma tenuisecta, Machaeranthera canescens, Morus microphylla, Opuntia engelmannii, O. phaeacantha, Prosopis velutina, and Rhus microphylla.
Reproductive Condition: Flowering
Occurrence Remarks: Rincon Peak 7.5' USGS topographic Quadrangle; 12S 05 37 100mE 35 48 205mN; Common shrub generally with numerous basally branching stems to 1.5 meter tall; flowers dull pink-orange.
