Habitat: Wisconsin Driftless Natural Division. In bottom land of Carroll Creek (south side) growing with Acer saccharum (dominant), Juglans nigra, Tilia americana (dominant), Ulmus rubra, Asimina triloba, Staphylea trifolia, Asplenium rhizophyllum, Cystopteris bulbifera, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Laportea canadensis, etc. Some trees here 12 inches to 15 inches d.b.h.
