Locality: United States, Nebraska, Cherry, Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge, just east of Valentine, Nebraska along and south side of Nebraska Route 12. Collected on south side of the Niobrara River below the falls at Fort Falls and along the Niobrara River.

Habitat: Mixed deciduous ravine valley forest community, valley of Falls Creek along the Niobrara shore. Growing with Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Ulmus americana, Ostrya virginiana, Amorpha fruticosa, Salix exigua, Vitis riparia, Bromus tectorum, Festuca arundinacea, Glycyrrhiza lepidota, Osmorhiza claytonii, Phalaris arundinacea, Poa pratensis, Thalictrum dasycarpum, etc.
