Havana Quadrangle. Elevation about 430 feet. Just above the Illinois River floodplain west of Havana, Illinois on the west side of the Illinois River. East of Dickson Mounds State Park. East side of Routes 97/78.

Habitat: Growing in ditch within Illinois River Bottomlands. Growing with Apocynum cannabinum, Asclepias incarnata, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Hibiscus laevis, Impatiens capensis, Lycopus americanus, Mentha arvensis, Phalaris arundinacea, Polygonum amphibium, Polygonum hydropiperoides, Polygonum punctatum, Scirpus fluviatilis, Scirpus pungens, Solidago canadensis, Sparganium eurycarpum, Typha latifolia, Verbena hastata, Vernonia gigantea. Perennial herb 4 foot tall, flowers pink.
