Locality: United States, Illinois, Cook, Powderhorn Lake Forest Preserve. Hedewisch (Chicago): Brainard Avenue. Collected in prairie area where main trails connect, just south of power lines.
Habitat: Degraded, wet-mesic prairie. Associates: Helianthus grosseserratus, Solidago altissima, Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Polygonum lapathifolium, Agalinis purpurea, Oenothera biennis, Lespedeza capitata. Herb in seed with reddish stems and leaves. Uncommon.
