Locality: United States, Michigan, Berrien, Donald C. Cook nuclear power plant site, 2.5 miles N. of Bridgeman. S1/2 Sec. 6, N1/2 N1/2 Sec. 7, W1/2 Sec. 5, NW1/4 Sec. 8, T6S R19W.
Habitat: Stabilized dunes along Lake Michigan; with open, sandy wetlands in depressions.
Associated Species: with Ammophila near the shore and Quercus forest on the higher dunes
Occurrence Remarks: [Immature, without fruit, but probably C. subglabrum, as C. leptophyllum s.s. not otherwise known from Michigan. E.G. Voss, 1983]
