Scattered. Erect, fibrous rooted, perennial herb; up to 3 dm tall. Corolla: white aging pink. Community: bottomland hardwood forest. Topography: level to rolling. Substrate: silty clay loam to sandy clay loam. Associates: Taxodium distichum, Triadica sebifera, Campsis radicans, Saururus cernuus, Boehmeria cylindrica, Carya, Quercus, Vitis, Smilax, Polygonum spp.
