Conifer swamp (Picea mariana-Larix laricina co-dominant) interrupted by irregular patches of open mossy sedge meadow. Sphagnum spp. and Drosera rotundifolia occur in openings among tree islands. An old vehicle track resembles a swale and provides. disturbed microsite for such pioneering marsh species as Juncus effusus, Carex cephalantha, C. scoparia, Panicum boreale, and P. acuminatum var. fasciculatum. Some mossing has occurred in the past. Very little of the area was explored.
