Rocky and gravelly soil with open woodland of Platanus racemosa, Fraxinus, Quercus wislizenii, Juniperus californica, Rhus trilobata, Prunus fasciculata, etc.
Remnants
Fairly common trees, to c. 15 m tall, this one c. 7-8 m, trunk c. 35 cm d.b.h. Bark whitish, peeling. Fruits picked up from ground. This a different individual from any of those collected by Bob.
