Location Remarks: Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview. West side of Harms Rd., 1/4 mile south of Glenview Rd. West edge of main horse trail, 1 block south of bridge.
Habitat: Mesic woodland edge, growing at edge of drainage ditch in moist soil
Associated Species: Tilia americana, Crataegus sp., Quercus rubra, Fragaria virginiana, Geum canadense, Carex sp
Description: Shrub 18' tall in cluster of several shrubs. Red female flowers, male catkins with yellow pollen. Single fruit present from previous season
