Habitat:
In leaf litter covering Carnegie Sandy loam.
Description:
Staminate ls. with light green corollas and tanish anthers. Frs. imm., light green, the hooked bristles distally whitish. Lvs. bright green above, paler beneath. Stems dullish green.
Occurrence Remarks:
Associated ground-cover included Lonicera japonica, smilax bona-nox, and seedlings of Quercus falcata. Understory trees and high-climbing vines were Prunus serotina, P. caroliniana, Ulmus alata, Sassafras albidum, Vitis rotundifolia, and Parthenocissus quinquefolia.
