Habitat: Rocky channel course and north facing slopes. Silty to siltyclay soils plus accumulated pine needles.
Associated Species: Ponderosa pine, pinyon pine, rocky mountain juniper, Gambel's oak, Fendler bush, mutton grass and silvery lupine plant community.
