Habitat: Sonoran Desertscrub.
Substrate: Gravelly rocky bed of Estes Wash.
Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Parkinsonia florida, Simmondsia chinensis, Lycium berlandieri, Ambrosia deltoidea, Encelia farinosa.
Description: Plant was about 2 meters tall. The stem diameter near the substrate surface was 15 cm. Plant was in flower.
Occurrence Remarks: Parthenice plants were scattered along the length of Estes Wash, from about 1/2 mile above the trailhead parking area and the collection site.
