First Geological Survey of Michigan, 1837–1840, Douglass Houghton, State Geologist; Abram Sager, Botanist and Zoologist, 1837; John Wright, State Botanist, 1838, assisted by George H. Bull Though the data are scanty, the handwrithting on the blue determination tag appears to be that of Asa Gray, who vistied Ann Arbor and Detroit in August of 1838, and is known to have determined some First Survey collections at that time. In aspect, this collection appears similar to one of Poa languida taken by the First Survey in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, June [19-30] 1838, and is likely a duplicate of that sheet MICH 1315244] [Ann Arbor collections are known from 19 June-2 July 1838; Coordinates at Jct.
