Occurrence Remarks: Specimen found on Foothills Parkway at Walland, Tennessee on rich, moist limestone slope. Full shade. Phyllaries 15-18, florets 20-22/head, basal leaf collected , very large, lobed and petiolate. Only approximately 5 blooming plants here, all in area approximately 10 m. across at toe of slope below limestone outcrop. Blooming plants 2-5 m. tall. TSN to Family.
