Habitat: Old fields and pastures, now DNR public hunting and fishing land, with scattered Acer negundo, Popuhus deltoides, Juglans nigra, with Salix nigra, S. eriocephala and colonies of Salix exigua; areas with less shade dominatd by Phalaris arundinacea and Apios americana.
Description: In grove of Salix exigua. Flowers held horizontally. Petals white.
