Habitat: Moist soil near perennial spring; oak-pinyon woodland.
Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus oblongifolia, Pinus discolor, Juniperus deppeana, Platanus wrightii, Fraxinus velutina, Brickellia amplexicaulis, Toxicodendron radicans, Lobelia cardinalis, Guardiola platyphylla, Equisetum sp., Muhlenbergia longiligula, Piptochaetium fimbriatum, Trachypogon spicatus.
Description: Exotic perennial vine, common for several hundred meters along canyon; prickles red and yellow; leaves palmately 3- to 5-foliolate, tomentose below; calyx with stellate hairs; 8–12 flowers per inflorescence. ID based on Alice et al. (2014) and Allred et al. (2020).
Occurrence Remarks: Duplicates to ARIZ, ASU.
