Habitat: Base of rocky hillside of porous dark brown volcanic rock; small drainage between hill and bank of larger wash. 15 degree slope, facing south to southwest to west. Silt, and gravel soil, 10YR 4/4 dark yellow brown. Miocene volcanic rock and alluvium. Creosote bush scrub. 15 more plants just southeast (34.22311 N, -114.75792 W). Scattered around area.
