Associated Species: Cephalanthus occidentalis, Populus tremuloides, Carya cordiformis, Quercus velutina, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Prunus serotina, Zanthoxylum americanum
Description: Occasional, this a shrub 4.5 m tall, with arching stems, the largest 9 cm. in diameter and with 5 smaller stems.
Preparations: herbarium sheet
Occurrence Remarks: Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw, this stem 7 cm. in diameter and 16 years old.
