Las Cienegas National Conservation Area; along the large alluvial foothills that formed in the piedmont of the Whetstones, about 2.25 km east of Cienega Creek. Large, bunch-grass dominated drainages along hillsides, about 800m from dirt road, surrounded by grasslands with interspersed Prosopis juliflora, Agave plameri and Fouquieria splendens along the ridges of the hills.
