Locality: United States, California, San Luis Obispo, in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains between Arroyo de la Cruz and the northern county line, roughly 3.5 km inland from Highway 1

Habitat: throughout a disturbed grassy wet swale with cattle prints exposing water; in a slightly north facing wet swale
Description: plants grow with multiple root systems tightly pressed against each other
Occurrence Remarks: localized, but locally abundant and scattered throughout; some cattle herbivory observed
