Habitat: Among granite boulders along ephemeral streambed in canyon in mountainous oak dominated Madrean evergreen woodland.
Substrate: Stony soil among granite boulders.
Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus oblongifolia, Dodonaea viscosa, Dasylirion wheeleri, Prosopis velutina, Erythrina flabelliformis, Opuntia chlorotica, Mimosa dysocarpa, Opuntia engelmannii.
Description: 1 meter tall ascending to erect prickly pear cactus.
Reproductive Condition: Fruiting.
