Habitat: Upland, tallgrass prairie over sandstone and post oak-black jack oak woodlands on the NE side of the lake. Sandy, drying flats along shoreline of lake.
Occurrence Remarks: Scattered in sandy soil in woodlands. Stems much branched and mostly terete in cross-section; corolla rose-colored with purple spots in throat.
