Description: Common tree on margins of Bear Creek. 5m tall X 6m wide. Bark pleated & gray-brown. Twigs coppery gray w/white lenticels. Leaves dull green and cupped abaxially. Green-gray to coppery adaxially. New growth coppery red. W/ Quercus hypoleucoides, Salix, Juglans major, Pinus arizonica, Prunus, Vitis.
