Habitat: S-facing rock clefts in pine-oak woodland.
Associated Species: Quercus rugosa, Quercus hypoleucoides, Pinus discolor, Pinus sp., Juniperus deppeana, Cercocarpus breviflorus, Ceanothus fendleri, Eriogonum wrightii, Nolina microcarpa, Carphochaete bigelovii, Eragrostis lehmanniana.
Description: Perennial forb; herbage glandular-viscid; ray and disk flowers yellow.
