Associated Species: Quercus arizonica, Juniperus deppeana, Pinus discolor, Nolina microcarpa, Brickellia venosa, Dasylirion wheeleri, Yucca x schottii, Cercocarpus breviflorus, Dalea albiflora, Heliomeris multiflora, Bouteloua curtipendula, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Muhlenbergia longiligula, Muhlenbergia alopecuroides, Muhlenbergia emersleyi.
Occurrence Remarks: Perennial forb, 40 cm, locally common on steep soil bank; herbage coarsely pubescent; ray and disk flowers yellow.
