Location Remarks: Vicinity of coordinates; coordinates not obtained in situ with GPS but estimated post-collection event using mapping programs. Coordinates considered accurate to within 100 m.
Habitat: Glade margins and dry open savanna/woodland on nepheline syenite (igneous) substrate.
Associated Species: Growing with Quercus stellata, Q. marilandica, Carya texana, Crataegus marshallii, C. spathulata, Opuntia cf. macrorhiza, Schizachyrium scoparium, Camassia scilloides, Scutellaria ovata, Liatris hirsuta, Asclepias verticillata, etc.
Description: Shrubs to small trees. Fresh flowers white.
