Habitat: Bottomland hardwood forest dominated by Quercus, Carya and Ulmus spp.
Associated Species: Growing with Asclepias perennis, Justicia ovata, Pluchea camphorata, Leersia sp., Ludwigia glandulosa, Penthorum sedoides, Rhynchospora corniculata, Gratiola sp., Lycopus sp., Styrax americanus, Diospyros virginiana, Quercus lyrata, etc.
Description: Plants rhizomatous, forming colonies.
Reproductive Condition: fruit
Preparations: Herbarium Sheet 1 of 1.
Occurrence Remarks: About 6 colonies observed, largest about 2 m in diameter.
