Locality: United States, Arkansas, Prairie, Mississippi Alluvial Plain. Grand Prairie Ecoregion. USGS Carlisle 7.5' Quad. Railroad Prairie Natural Area (unplowed tallgrass priarie in abandoned Rock Island Railroad right-of-way, north of Hwy 70).

Location Remarks: Vicinity of coordinates; coordinates not obtained in situ with GPS but estimated post-collection event using mapping programs. Coordinates considered accurate to within 100 m.
Habitat: Small seasonally wet swale/ditch on the north side of the old railroad bed, in area of low swale in unplowed prairie encroached by woody vines and shrubs.
Description: Fresh flowers yellow. Plants rhizomatous, forming a colony.
Reproductive Condition: fruit
Preparations: Herbarium Sheet 1 of 1.
Occurrence Remarks: Common, but very local.
