Elevation: 211 meters (692ft)
Habitat: Old field, grassy (European cool season grasses, Poa, Agropyron repens) but without any native prairie plants, slightly rolling, sandy terrace above Wisconsin River floodplain. Evidently an old habitation site. Along edge of Pinus resinosa plantation.
Associated Species: With a few Syringia vulgaris, Salix "weeping willow", Acer ginnala, with more recent plantings of Caragana arborescens, Viburnum lantana, Corylus americana, Physocarpus opulifolius
Description: Shrubs in clumps, some with dozens of stems to maximum 3.5 m. tall, this stem 3 cm. in diamter, 10 years old, nearly the largest sidze before moribund and replaced by new shoots. Past flowering, but with some white corollas remaining.

Occurrence Remarks: Voucher for wood specimens in Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw.
