Habitat: Weedy ditch near town.
Associated Species: Juniperus arizonica, Prosopis velutina, Cynodon dactylon, Bothriochloa laguroides.
Description: Branching perennial (?) forb, 50 cm, locally common; flowers purple, phyllaries with pectinate margins.
Occurrence Remarks: Nomenclature acc. to Flora of North America, not synonymous with C. biebersteinii or C. maculosa.
