Description:
Common Sowthistle (Smooth Sowthistle in UK) (Sonchus oleraceus). Marine Park area, Brooklyn, NY. Fissure at joint of sidewalk & building. A common plant of course, but useful to record urban sites. Photos show diagnostic features, including flowerhead diameter, pointed auricles and large triangular apical lobe of leaves.
