Locality: Guatemala, El Progreso, Guatemala: El Progreso. northeast of Guatemala City; 26.3 km northwest on CA-14 (road to Cobán) from junction with CA-14 (road between Guatemala City and Puerto Barrios), 4.1 km south of turnoff to El Carrizo, 21 km south of turnoff to Salama (RN-17; in La Cumbre), near km 110.4 (km signs decrease to south). (Near, and possibly in, Baja Verapaz State.) Very dry rocky slope, north-northeast facing; with few scattered trees and shrubs, Cecropia, Russelia, cf. Byrsonima, Simarouba, Tabebuia, Waltheria, Weiganda, Oxalis, Heteropogon, Rhynchelytrum, viny Bidens, Salvia, Calliandra spp., Acacia, Dodonaea, Alvaradoa, Lantana, Luehea speciosa. Prostrate mat, milky latex, many leaves red-tinged; cyathial appendages whitish or pinkish. Lat. 14°55'38.6"N Long. 90°11'48.1"W Datum: NAD27.
