Habitat: Dominant overstory is Betula papyrifera/Populus tremuloides, with a shrub layer dominated by Corylus cornuta and Amelanchier; Rubus parviflorus is also abundant; leaf litter covers most bare areas; with Betula papyrifera, Populus tremuloides, Corylus cornuta, Rubus parviflorus, Amelanchier sp., Crataegus chrysocarpa, Aralis nudicaulis, Heracleum maximum, Maianthemum canadense, Prosartes trachycarpum, Pteridium aquilinum, Geranium richardsonii, and Osmorhiza sp.
