Locality: United States, Kentucky, Madison, Berea College Campus, in flower planter at the Chestunt Street (KY 595) sidewalk at the side of the Edwards Buklding, under a Bradford Pear, Pyrus calleryana.
Habitat: In a flower planter, under a Bradford Pear, Pyrus calleryana. An introduced bulbous perennial native to Asia Minor (Greece to Syria). Other color variations ranging from pure white and pink in addition to blue violet with a loculicidal capsules.
