Habitat: West-facing slope in oak-mesquite grassland.
Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Quercus oblongifolia, Nolina microcarpa, Yucca x schottii, Dasylirion wheeleri, Eysenhardtia orthocarpa, Brickellia californica, Artemisia dracunculus, Baccharis thesioides, Rhus aromatica, Stachys coccinea, Castilleja tenuiflora, Muhlenbergia emersleyi, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Bouteloua curtipendula.
Description: Perennial forb, 60 cm; stems and leaves scabrous-hairy; disk and ray flowers yellow.
Occurrence Remarks: PAPAZ.
