Locality: United States, Tennessee, Jackson, Cookeville, Dodson Branch Hwy, Overton Road, Right onto Roaring River Road, 1 mile from Wash Morgan Hollow, next to Roaring River on the left-hand side of the road.

Habitat: Found on steep slope across from Roaring River with rocky soil. Area was well shaded. Soils were moist and acidic.
Description: Herbaceous plant growing 10 inches tall. Leaves were pinnately lobed, and stems contained yellow sap within. Terminal inflorescence was bright yellow, with four wrinkled petals, one pistil, and multiple stamen.
