Locality: United States, Florida, Levy, United States: Florida: Levy County. Along FL Rt 24, ca. 5.8 mi. SW of Archer. Pine flatwoods. Growing near Myrica cerifera which is in an adjacent cypress dome. No intermediates seen between the two, and this entity blooming and fruiting when very short (unlike the case in M. cerifera). Common rhizomatous shrub to ca. 0.5 m tall; fruits whitish, waxy gray.
