Lakeside prairie fen around Braxee Lake and smaller Little Braxee Lake to the east. Sedge and Dasiphora fruticosa dominant with Salix, Cornus, and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs. Dense stands of Typha with moderately deep water separate fen on north side of Braxee Lake. Heron rookeries (old bog and current rookery) border the north side of fen. Invaded with Typha angustifolia, Phalaris arundinacea, Phragmites australis, and Lythrum salicaria. In portion of prairie fen north of Braxee Lake and west of Typha channel, 50m south of northern border, 40m east of 14m+ tall Sycamore tree in patch of snags with Toxicodendron vernix growing up underneath. Area dominated by Carex with some Typha, Phragmites, and Lythrum salicaria. Ground very hummocky with standing water between.
Population - Small tree in quadrat, larger tree 1m northwest of quadrat. Saplings and large trees interspersed throughout 30m2 area. Use caution.
