This specimen was found in a forested floodplain between a hardwood forest and a ditch.
The Ontario aster has thin alternate leaves that are long with serrated edges. The flower is small, about 1 cm in length with white ray pedals. The stalk length is about 1.5 feet tall.This plant was surrounded by sedges, grasses, poison ivy, maple saplings, and moss.
