Prairie fen with sedge meadow zone common throughout, wooded fen with many tamaracks (Larix laricina); lots of Frangula alnus. Very long, narrow fen. Split by the headwaters of the Grand River. East side owned by The Nature Conservancy, west side mostly privately owned. Grand River is too deep/silty to cross without use of footbridges. Many zones in fen. Periodic shurbby zones; invasives; Phalaris arundinacea common. Prairie dominated sedge meadow about 30m south of road/bridge/culvert; quadrat located immediately east of stream; west side of stream is dominated by Fragnula alnus. Common species in area include Rhamnus alnifolia, Dasiphora fruticosa, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Solidago ohioensis and Euthamia graminifolia. Ground seepy.
