Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Carex lacustris/Eutrochium maculatum dominated area in western portion of prairie fen; about 30m north of stream; about 100m southwest of woodland upland; common species include Symphyotrichum firmum, Onoclea sensibilis, Pycnanthemum virginicum, and Carex stricta. Ground moist but not wet.
