Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Sedge meadow with a significant portion of Agrostis gigantea; ground slightly inundated; scattered Toxicodendron vernix shrubs in area; Symphyotrichum firmum common; about 60m west and 30m southwest of shrub/tree line; in middle of prairie fen; taller than other areas; about 1m tall; ground very hummocky.
