Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In south-central portion of prairie fen, 100m west of Riker Lake, 10m east of red cedar tree (5m tall). Carex, Dasiphora fruticosa, and Asteraceae meadow. Shrubs medium density, 1 over 2m tall every 4-9m2, mostly Cornus and Toxicodendron vernix. Ground hummocky and moist.
