Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In central portion of prairie fen, 10m west of the boardwalk at its end. Surrounded by Larix laricina trees and saplings and Toxicodendron vernix. Carex and Poaceae meadow, 3m north of marl Cyperaceae zone. Ground hummocky and moist to wet.
Population - Dominant in area. Many with dried male and female stalks.
