Some shrub encroachment by Frangula alnus sapling in area; about 7m east of shrub encroached edges; grasses in area include Andropogon gerardii, Sorghastrum nutans, Bromus pubescens, and Poa pratensis; other species include Dasiphora fruticosa, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Rudbeckia laciniata, R. fulgida, Lithospermum sp. and Solidago altissima; ground moist but not wet; marly under top layer.
