Habitat: Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. In southern portion of prairie fen; area a patchwork of sedge meadow/Asteraceae and Cornus sericea/Betula pumila shrub encroachment; common herbaceous species in area include Eutrochium maculatum, Solidago altissima, Doellingeria umbellata, Carex stricta, and Thelypteris palustris. Ground moist but not wet.
