Habitat: Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Drier sedge meadow; Dasiphora fruticosa and Solidago uliginosa present; many shrubs including Dasiphora fruticosa, Betula pumila, Cornus spp., Salix spp., Populus tremuloides saplings, and Frangula alnus. All shrubs <1.5m tall; Galium boreale; Carex buxbaumii, C. tetanica present as well as Lythrum salicaria; directly east of bridge about 50m.
